Rodeo, quilts and folk festival in Sisters

Three yearly events put Sisters on the map. Each section below comes from that event's own site. Dates are the ones posted when we checked in October 2026, and organizers can change them.

Sisters Rodeo

The Sisters Rodeo is a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo. Its site says it has served the community since 1940, is "built, run, and preserved by volunteers," and is held "Always the Second Week in June." The posted dates for the next one are June 9 to 13, 2027. The site also mentions a parade on Main Street, vendors and evening dances and concerts, and says ticket proceeds help fund scholarships, local organizations and the upkeep of the grounds. The Sisters Kiwanis have served a pancake breakfast since 1982. Tickets and the schedule are on the rodeo's site.

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

The show's site thanks quilt artists, volunteers, sponsors and visitors and posts the next show for July 10, 2027, 9 am to 4 pm, in Sisters. The Sisters Country site calls it the largest outdoor quilt show in the world. We could not confirm a founding year or a quilt count on the show's own site, so we do not give one.

Sisters Folk Festival

SFF Presents is a nonprofit that says it has been "strengthening community and transforming lives through music and art since 1995." It runs the Sisters Folk Festival, posted for September 24 to 26, 2027, with 30 or more artists on seven stages downtown, and the Big Ponderoo Music + Art Festival, posted for June 25 and 26, 2027, at Village Green Park. Its year-round work includes summer creativity camps, classes for children, youth and adults, and arts programs with the Sisters School District. Its 2025 impact report counts 8,610 festival and concert attendees and more than 6,000 volunteer hours.
